PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

Maurizio Manzoni, born in Nuoro in 1967, graduated in Architecture from Florence in 1994. In 1999, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence, teaching Drawing and Textile Survey and Diagnostics (Costume and Fashion – Department of Industrial Design). He spearheaded Lancia’s project on the ‘Design of the Invisible,’ focusing on concept cars.

His expertise extends to interior architecture, graphic design, stand design, fabric design, and nautical design of motorboats and supermega yachts for both interiors and exteriors. Maurizio collaborates with leading companies in Italy and abroad, including Airnova, Alberta Pacific Furniture, Arketipo, Bykepi, Cantori, Cattelan Italia, and more.

In 2001, he founded STUDIO MEMO in Florence, driven by a design philosophy that addresses contemporary living issues with innovative solutions while respecting the DNA of collaborating companies. STUDIO MEMO comprises skilled designers like Federico Visani and Federica Francini, fostering collaboration and confrontation among diverse talents. The studio boasts prototypists and technical consultants to solve project challenges, emphasizing openness to constructive dialogue.

STUDIO MEMO, comprising designers Federico Visani, Federica Francini, and a core team including Maria Claudia De Felice, Murat Afsar, and Marija Pejovio, fosters open collaboration among individuals with diverse experiences and skills. With a group of prototypists and technical consultants, the studio efficiently addresses various design needs, ensuring verification and fine-tuning of projects.
